Wow!! Our students at Hillcrest did a great job brining in change for Coins for a Cause! We are so happy to partner with United Way to help raise awareness for homelessness in Gratiot County.
It is that time of year again when the Elks Association sponsors the Americanism Coloring Contest for 1st thru 4th Grade. Students have the opportunity to win a monetary prize at the Lodge level and again at the State Level.
Attached is the information you will need to hand out to the students. Students will need to have their Coloring sheets turned in to the Alma Elks Lodge by December 15th.

The first graders had an eventful afternoon with their take on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and a Friendsgiving!!

Our 2nd graders were able to go to the Alma College Science Blowout and learn about chemistry, health science, leaves, and bats!! We are so lucky to have great partnerships with Alma College to provide these opportunities for our students!
Temperatures will be a lot colder and near freezing in the morning tomorrow. Please make sure students are coming prepared with coats, hats, and gloves.

A few reminders for our Late Start Days for Hillcrest.
-Busses will arrive at stops like a normal Late Start Day.
-Supervision will begin at 11:08 am
-First bell will ring at 11:33 am and school begins at 11:38 am.
-Students can bring lunch, but sack lunches will be provided in the classroom when they arrive.

November is Homeless Awareness Month and Hillcrest is excited to be partnering with United Way of Gratiot & Isabella Counties to raise money for The Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”! Start saving and collecting your coins to send with your student! The classroom that raises the most amount of money will win a PIZZA PARTY! 🍕
